When we launched our annual calendar, we wanted to simplify and create a weekly calendar for the little ones in the future.
The concept of time, as something circular, of the passing of weeks, months, years, beginning and ending and succeeding each other, is not always easy to explain to a child.
Their questions about the passage of time start early: "When do I go back to school?" "How much time is left for my years?" "When are we going on vacation?"
We respond in time that we know but that they take time to understand "one week to go", "one month from now", "3 months to go" ...
With our annual calendar we realized that this explanation was simplified with loops in the arcs of days and months and weeks. But for the youngest, we lacked something.
Our Weekly Calendar ⌛🗓
As cores de cada espaço, correspondem a um dia da semana, inspiradas na pedagogia Waldorf onde cada cor corresponde a um dia
Domingo – branco; segunda – roxo; terça – vermelho; quarta – laranja; quinta – amarelo ; sexta – verde e sábado- azul.
Mas na verdade, não os queremos limitar, nem impôr qualquer significado. Por isso em cada casa, cada côr pode ter um significado diferente.
What interests us is that when playing, and included in the daily routine, this calendar also becomes an object of learning, allowing the child to become aware of the passing of the week, and to assimilate the concept of passing of time.
The weekly calendar comes with a MiPy , which will help small hands do their thing I walk through the week, day by day. The Mipy is sent to the natural and unfinished so that each child can interpret it and transform it into whatever they want.
Calendar consisting of a board with 7 colored "houses" that represent each day of the week and a natural Mipy to be painted to taste.
Tray: 12 cm diameter
The MiPy is about 4 cm high and has a maximum diameter of 2 cm.
